Hello,
I’m Elaine Brown.
I have always been interested in food and cooking , learning many skills and techniques while travelling around the globe. While living in central Mexico, and seeing the need to diversify tastes and palettes I opened a Thai restaurant. Here I used my knowledge from a decade of living in Cairns Australia, and the Asian influence that is engrained there. Later after extensive travel through India and Sri Lanka I added complex spice mixes to my repertoire. Middle Eastern cuisine also features in my menu planning, having enjoyed many visits to Turkey, Egypt, Israel and Iran.
Africa is also close to my heart, and I have had the privilege of volunteering as a chef trainer in remote camps in Ethiopia, Tanzania and Namibia.
I have worked as a chef professionally for more than 11 years on private yachts, both sailing and motor, large and small. Provisioning in far away destinations such as Greenland and the high Arctic and trying unusual delicacies (muskox, seal, goat and sea cucumbers) being just part of the job.
I now live in the Boka bay region of glorious Montenegro. Steeped in complex history and abundant with organic fruits and vegetables, honey and wine, I’m lucky to call this place home.
So whether you are a new visitor, a returning resident or just passing through you can enjoy my culinary expertise. Either at your chosen location, villa or yacht, private party or grand celebration I would be delighted to meet you.

In a relaxed environment you will learn a variety of skills while preparing your own sumptuous lunch. Knife skills, baking, filleting, plating and decoration are just a sample of what you can master in an afternoon. Using local produce and with a ever changing menu, you can add many cuisines to your repertoire, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Asian or fusion.
